Short Consultancy – Review Of Training Manuals

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

E4Impact Foundation is one of the Implementing partners for the Action to Relaunch Agriculture, And Branding Internationalization of Kenyan Coffee In And Out Of Africa  (ARABIKA) Project, funded by the Italian Development Agency (AICS). The organization is looking to recruit a short-term contract for review of training manuals for cooperative managers’ business skills.

The consultant will be involved in reviewing manuals for training coffee cooperative managers developed by E4Impact Foundation. The consultant will ensure that the content meets the needs identified in the training needs assessment, and is in line with the coffee value chain in Kenya. The training will be broken down into 4  modules: value chain analysis, building sustainable business models, economic projections, and product development and promotion.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in an agribusiness/agriculture-related field
  2. At least 5 years’ relevant experience in the coffee value chain locally or internationally
  3. Experience in business development, marketing export, and trading across agricultural value chains. Working experience in the Coffee value chain is an added advantage.
  4. Experience training coffee cooperatives or learning institutions on value chain analysis, management, business skills, value chain, and other topics related to the coffee sector.
